Lily James

11x14

I actually did this portrait a few weeks ago at an art show, but I honestly forgot
about it until today. I used an 8B pencil, mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, eraser stick,
cloth, and paper stump.

Taylor Swift

11x14

This is yet another portrait for the art show. I really enjoyed drawing this one,
Taylor has a polished, classic look and all of the detail made it interesting. For this portrait
I used a mechanical pencil, 8B pencil, 1/8 stump, eraser stick, kneaded eraser, and
cloth.

Mark Hamill

 9x12

For the upcoming art show, I've been trying to draw more portraits to sell.
One of my friends suggested drawing some actors everybody would know, so
because of the new Star Wars movie coming out, I decided to draw Mark Hamill and
Carrie Fisher. Mark Hamill was very fun to draw because he was quickly
recognizable and his eyes are very unique. The photo of him also had alot of detail,
which made the portrait turn out better than a low quality photo would have done.
For this portrait, I used a mechanical pencil, and an 8B pencil, my kneaded
eraser and eraser stick, a cloth for blending, and a 1/8 stump.

Felicity Jones

11x14

This is a portrait I drew that took me about 5-6 hours to finish. I felt drawn to the
photo because of the beautiful simplicity and the detail was wonderful!  I had a lot
of fun drawing it, blending and shading the skin was fun, and I loved doing the eyes and mouth.
One thing I love about drawing detailed portraits is highlighting with my kneaded eraser and
eraser stick. It almost feels like sculpting.

Adam Young

original photo                                                  9x12 portrait

This is a portrait I drew for one of my favorite musicians, Owl City (Adam Young.)
We recently went to one of his concerts and it was put by security guards with the other
gifts for Adam. All was well until I recieved an email from one of the workers at the
House of Blues(where the concert was) about a week later. He said he found it in one
of the Green rooms and wanted to return it to me. Hopefully Adam got to at least see
it before they left. I assume it was left on accident. We met with the worker who had
my portrait, and I was very glad to know it was safe and sound.
Hopefully someday I'll get another chance to give it to Adam Young.
